Legend Of Talking Dog
My Shadow Dances
Up next on Hooj, ‘My Shadow Dances’ from NY-based producer type, Legend of Talking Dog (aka Jas aka Chonga).
After his really rather well-received ‘Hitchhiking’ release under the name of Jas, Phil Jason returns on Hooj with another tripped out, hypnotic number backed up with a suitably diverse remix package ensuring that everyone will be happy with something.
Heading up the A side of disc one is the vocal mix from Finnish electroheads, Mr. Velcro Fastener which layers the dreamy vocals of Cat Randall over a tight, running beat before introducing more musical elements, tying things together nicely. Mr Velcro Fastener have been riding the crest of wave recently after their stunning ‘Electrical Appliances’ track got a well-deserved re-release and this remix of theirs continues in that rich vein of form. Hooj boss, Red Jerry turns in a smooth, bleep-happy, future funk remix on the B side of disc one while Mr Velcro Fastener’s instrumental version, Legend Of Talking Dog’s original and a handy acappella make up the second disc.
Futuristic grooves and trippy shadow dancing vibes collide… rock on.
